Youth Leaders To Organise A Memorial Lecture In Remembrance Of The Late Gen Aronda Nyakairima

Ugandan Youth Leaders who were mentored by the fallen hero and the former internal affairs minister the late Gen Aronda Nyakairima are planning to remember the gallant son of Africa who died in unclear circumstances last year.

The former army commander died aboard a plane on his way from South Korea on 12th September and the cause of his death shocked Ugandans and mostly the youth who were under his mentorship.

The youth through their umbrella organization National Youth Entrepreneurs-Uganda and the family of the late are organising a memorial lecture on 12th September this year under the theme “Heroes Never Die” at Makerere University in the main hall @ 2pm.

According to the Chairpman Organising Committee Mr Mweisigwa Jackson ,the guest of honour is Rwandan President HE Paul Kagame.

“We are happy because the family of the late Aronda accepted us to remember him,Uganda People’s Defence Forces is already on board.HE Yoweri Museveni and the army commander Gen Katumba Wamala will give the keynote address”.Mr Chark M Benson, a member of the Organising Committee told this website.

He also told us that preparations are already in high gear and that Mr Robert Kabushenga and Col. Felix Kulayigye will be the moderators at the highly anticipated event that will bring together many Ugandans and other leaders from all over Africa to pay tribute to the Fallen General

“Many icons across Africa have confirmed to attend the event because Gen Aronda was an African hero and a friend to many” Mr Eliab Naturinda said wit a lot of optimism.

National Youth Entrepreneurs (NAYE) started as a 23 member network of young Pipo who were under the mentorship of the Late General Aronda with the core aim of uniting youth into Entrepreneurship for self sustainability, Job creation and Financial Freedom.
” Youth should work hard and stop the habit of begging everything from the government. Before you think of what the government should do for you, think of what you can do for the government “, quoting the Late General Aronda Verbatim.
