Speaking to Mbarara News, Bassajabalaba noted that they hope to moblise more relief food items to help the vulnerable people who are hard hit by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
MP Mawanda in a comment to Mbarara News extended an appreciation to the health workers who are at the frontline of covid-19 fight and response in Uganda.
On her part, Karooro who is also the Bushenyi District Woman MP lauded Ugandans for playing a crucial role in the fight against covid-19 so far adding that “the guidelines in place are meant to save lives.”
None of the leaders talked about the 20 Million shillings that was allocated to each MP for covid-19 response. This issue has raised public outcry and a cross section of Bushenyi district residents want area leaders to come out clean and show the side they are on in this matter.
