While speaking at women’s day celebrations for Bushenyi District which were marked on Friday 21.6.2019 at Mungonya secondary schoool play ground in kyeizooba subcounty, Hon Mary Okurut Karoro told the revealers to embrace the NRM party Chairperson’s sole candidature for the 2021-2016 presidency.
She went ahead to thank the president for empowering women which has helped them to contribute to the being of their families.
This women’s day was presided over by the the speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Alitwala Kadaga who commissioned various women projects that are under UWEP and awarded certificates to the best performers.
She thanked Bushenyi women for the unity and determination they exhibited through the projects they run together.
Kadaga called upon Bushenyi people not to move an inch away from Hon Mary Okurut Karoro because she still has a lot of programs to implement and voting her out could hinder the progress.
It should be noted that as we draw close to 2021,people like Kansiime Eunice and Annet katusiime Mugisha have showshown interest in contesting for woman member of parliament for Bushenyi District which Hon Minister has been the incumbent for over 17 years
