By Isaac Nahamya

Maria Nabayunga, a Medical Laboratory Technologist at Nsambya Hospital who was reported missing on Thursday last week has been found alive. According to reports, Nabayunga’s sister Jane Nakanwagi found her at her door step on Wednesday evening in an unconscious state.

Nakanwagi stated that her sister could hardly talk or stand as she had been drugged before she was reportedly dropped off at her residence.

She further stated that her sister recalled that she last at Nakasero Market before a stranger asked her for her phone but could not remember any other thing that happened afterwards.

Earlier reports indicated that she had gone to visit a friend when she failed to return and her phone contacts were off.

She had taken her annual leave which is due to end on May 1. She is reportedly receiving treatment at Nsambya Hospital.

Nabayunga’s disappearance coincided with the report of the disappearance of International Hospital Kampala Medical Officer, Dr Catherine Agaba whose body was found in a septic tank at her residence in Muyenga.

Similarly, Dr Agaba had applied for her annual leave before the tragedy.
