Mbarara News Sports Desk

Table leaders Rushere FC were subjected to a shock 1-0 loss by Bunyaruguru United in the Western Regional league encounter played at a visibly poor Biharwe play ground pitch following the early days down pour that left the pitch soggy

The rythm and intensity of the game was affected with the Ankole heroes struggling to stamp their mark on the game, the visitors took a shock lead thanks to a Mwesigwa Eliab stunning free kick in the 44th minute of the first half beating goal keeper Bbaale Robert in goal .

In the second half it was all Rushere FC as they went on the front foot but were thwarted by the resilience of the visitors aided by the bad weather.

On the Loss” We are devastated for the loss , the poor pitch today due to the heavy down pour just made it unplayable for us, they got one chance and utilised it whilst we wasted ours,
Nevertheless we have to dust ourselves down and get going , we have to prepare for our trip to face Bunyaruguru Tigers remarked “Coach Sam Kamurinde

“Iam extremely happy we know how diffcult it is to pick points in there back yard, we stuck to our game plan obviously the sogy pitch didnt help them but it played to our advantage, these are huge 3points beamed Coach Issa of Bunyaruguru United

The Ankole heroes now switch focus to there next fixture as they make there first away trip against Bunyaruguru Tigers on Sunday.
