Uganda’s wealthiest man Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has yet again been ranked among the top 20 richest people with a combined net worth of 1.4 billion dollars. The list which features the continent’s industrious businessmen is led by Nigerian investor Aliko Dangote weighing a whooping total of $13.5 billion.
The Ugandan businessman who made his fortune in real estate is the founder and chairman of the Ruparelia Group, a conglomerate with interests in insurance, hospitality, real estate, and education. Ruparelia is also a philanthropist and has donated to various charitable causes in Uganda.
Among the companies Dr Sudhir owns under the wealthy Ruparelia Group include; Premier Recruitment Limited – Kampala, Crane Management Services Limited – Kampala, Delhi Public International School-Naguru, Kampala, Goldstar Insurance Company Limited – Kampala, Kabira Country Club – Bukoto, Kampala, Kampala International School Uganda, Kampala Parents’ School, Kampala Speke Hotel – Kampala, Meera Investments Limited – Kampala.
