The Lohana International Business Forum held at world class Speke Resort and Conference Centre Munyonyo, ended on a high note with Dr Sudhir Ruparelia praising HE.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for creating a smooth environment for investors not only in Uganda but the whole of Africa.

Dr Sudhir who is among the Africa’s heavily loaded business men, doubles as the Chairman Board of Trustee’s Lohana Community.

Uganda’s conducive climate has boosted our businesses’ growth and fortunately HE. Museveni is such a far sighted person who supports business community of Uganda and he is always willing to listen to our concerns,” said Dr.Sudhir.

He said the Business Forum intended to create business opportunities for the Uganda and the region adding that for decades now Lohana Community has played a big role in the economic development of Uganda through various investments like education, banking, agro processing, manufacturing, hospitality industry among others.

The Forum showcased the opportunities for business and investment in East Africa as well as provide a platform for delegates to have a stand to promote their companies to African businesses,” said Dr Sudhir on a forum that started on 19th March 2023 ending today 22nd.

Dr Sudhir explained that Lohana International Business Forum is an initiative aimed at connecting the Lohana Businesses and to deliberate on market opportunities as well as for businesses to better understand the regulatory and fiscal environment of participating countries.

He said the initiative offers a unique platform for the business stakeholders to synergize in order to grow & strengthen the global Lohana Businesses and Industries.

In his speech, President Museveni encouraged the Lohana Community to take advantage of various investments opportunities in Uganda and do business.

“Uganda has a huge cluster of row materials mainly of agro products and mining which need value addition by setting up factories in Uganda, so I request you to take that path,” said Museveni.

Amongst the top 20 fastest growing economies of the world, 10 are African. East African countries are amongst these fast growing economies. Kenya is growing at 5.5%, Uganda has grown at 7% in the past, Tanzania has grown at 4.9%, DRC is expected to have 6.3% growth and Rwanda has had 7.2% growth.
